flylo’s admiration of jazz is well known and this album was preceded by months of internet chatter about collaborations, here, and here, or here. the album does not disappoint with appearances from herbie hancock (“tesla”, “moment of hesitation”), kamasi washington (“theme”, “cold dead”, “turkey dog coma”, “moment of hesitation”) and miguel atwood-ferguson (“turkey dog coma”, “obligatory cadence”, “your potential/the beyond”, “the protest”).
